How Beautiful! I mean really how BEAUTIFUL. Is life, is love, is family, and is Christ. And yet how easily I forget all that. I hear one discouraging thing; think too deeply on something that doesn't even matter, and in just minutes I am a wreck totally forgetting how beautiful my life is. How blessed I am. To have great family, just a phone call away. To have a lovely apartment that I have been blessed with. Friends that I can count on. To have an amazing husband, who cares about me and loves me more than I can even grasp. Even if he might be called to serve our country and might be gone at times, how blessed I am to have him home right now. Tonight, today. How easily I forget that, too focused on what might come and what might be, too caught up in the then that I forget about the now. When Jesus said not to worry about tomorrow, He wasn't kidding around. He really has it in control. Each new day to live, each new adventure to have, or to overcome. Why must I borrow trouble? I serve a God who is so good, so great, so in control. While this whole world may seem to be spinning away with wars, protests, earthquakes, and anything else you can name, He still has it all. And yet he still has the time and the focus and the LOVE for....me.
And so I will take another deep breath, given by Him. I will focus on the here and the now, not the then and the what. And I will praise Him, no matter what for "his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning."
